Series Crackdown is a 10-day long readathon where you attempt to read those unread series on your bookshelf. This is a really relaxed readathon so you can start at the beginning of a series or pick up where you left off! Created by @TheBookMoo and co-hosted by @bexcapades @jemimajosborne @racheyragdoll.
Friday 14th – Sunday 23rd February 2020.
This time around we have teams, just like we did in October for Series SCAREDOWN. We have four teams to choose from each with a team captain and a team read each. The way to pick your team is either to choose which type of series you prefer or which team read you already own and has been sitting on your shelf FOREVER.
With that said, I highly encourage you all to use your library or pick a team read you already own. I honestly don’t want any of you to put the pressure on yourselves to go and buy these books. If you want to, great, but we are a really relaxed readathon so please feel no pressure here!
So the teams are as follows:
Duologies – @racheyragdoll
Team Read: Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Trilogies – @bexcapades
Team Read: The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan
Quartets – @TheBookMoo
Team Read: Noughts & Crosses by Malorie Blackman
Beasts – @jemimajosborne
Team Read: The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon
We have a prompt board, as usual, however, this time you can use one book for 3 prompts but no more than that. Below is a plain TBR board that you can upload to Canva for free and create your own TBR graphic.
- First Book in a Series
- Gathering dust on your shelf
- Includes a Map
- Recommended by a friend
- Read with a warm drink
- 5-Star Author
Join us on Twitter, @SeriesCrackdown, every night of the readathon at 8PM GMT for Twitter sprints with four different hosts. Here is the schedule for hosts, we sprint read for an hour each night so don’t miss out!
We have a quick google form sign-up which you can access here. Please make sure you fill this out if you want to join in the readathon!
There will be a google form available to track your progress, which will go live on Friday 14th February, the first day of the readathon. You can find this on our pinned tweet on Twitter on that day. Please only update this when you have finished a book for the readathon as it will only allow you to update one book at a time.
Thank you so much for reading and I hope you join us during the readathon!
