TOP 5 WEDNESDAY: Favourite Spooky Settings

Top 5 Wednesday is set up by the lovely Lainey at GingerReadsLainey if you want to pop over and have a look at her channel. This meme is being looked after by Sam at Thoughts on Tomes. Let’s have a look at the topic for today!

Favourite Spooky Settings

5) The Forbidden Forest

Because what’s more creepy than being surrounded by trees, in the pitch black night, where you can’t see what’s lurking…

4) The Boarding school in Say Her Name – Juno Dawson

It doesn’t sound creepy but can you imagine walking around a large, centuries old, haunted building at night?  Yeah, talk about spooky!

3) The Wall in the A Song of Ice and Fire Series by George R.R Martin

The wall is a really cold and unpredictable place. You’re unsure of what lurks beyond it and when you find out, you wished you hadn’t.

2) District 12 in Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

*SPOILER ALERT – If you haven’t read Mockingjay in The Hunger Games trilogy don’t read this section*
I think that district 12 would be really spooky when it’s destroyed because not only is it abandoned but it’s obliterated. Imagine walking through there where so many had been killed or punished and it really would be creepy AF.
*You can read on now without being spoiled*

1) Mystic Falls

Can one town really have such bad luck? I always thought it was majorly spooky and felt that the atmosphere was written so well that my spine tingled whilst reading.

What are some of your fave spooky settings?
