Katherine V thought boys were gross
Katherine X just wanted to be friends
Katherine XVIII dumped him in an e-mail
K-19 broke his heart
When it comes to relationships, Colin Singleton’s type happens to be girls named Katherine. And when it comes to girls named Katherine, Colin is always getting dumped. Nineteen times, to be exact.

On a road trip miles from home, this anagram-happy, washed-up child prodigy has ten thousand dollars in his pocket, a bloodthirsty feral hog on his trail, and an overweight, Judge Judy-loving best friend riding shotgun–but no Katherines. Colin is on a mission to prove The Theorem of Underlying Katherine Predictability, which he hopes will predict the future of any relationship, avenge Dumpees everywhere, and finally win him the girl. Love, friendship, and a dead Austro-Hungarian archduke add up to surprising and heart-changing conclusions in this ingeniously layered comic novel about reinventing oneself.

Here was my initial review on goodreads:

Overall Feelings

I love how John Green’s character’s are always quirky and unique with their own sense of self. They all have little things about them that make the character’s ones you remember. I like Lindsay because she’s her own person and isn’t faking it or trying to impress, she’s just simply herself!

I have to admit that this isn’t my favourite John Green book. He set the bar high with The Fault in our Stars and unfortunately this isn’t close to that greatness! I like the spontinuityspontinaity spontaneity (let’s pretend I spelt that right first time), because it’s something i’d like to be and the random place they stop at! It isn’t like a stereotypical “let’s go to LA/New York/San Fran” kinda thing. Not that there’s anything wrong with those kind of books, but they get tiring and this is something different!
This is only a short read so there is nothing lost by trying out. It’s a little bit of a summer read so get your sunnies out and get in the garden for a read.
