TOP 5 WEDNESDAY: Favourite Characters Names

Top 5 Wednesday is set up by the lovely Lainey at GingerReadsLainey if you want to pop over and have a look at her channel. Let’s have a look at the topic for today!

Favourite Characters Names

5) Katniss Everdeen

I shouldn’t even need to explain about this name because it is simply iconic. KATNISS EVERDEEN! Caesar Flickerman, the show host, says this name absolutely spot on. Effie loves it.

4) Haymitch Abernathy
I know what you are thinking…there’s a theme here…The Hunger Games trilogy. But honestly they have the most imaginative names ever and who doesn’t love Haymitch? I wonder where Suzanne Collins got her character’s names from.

3) Daenerys Targaryen

I had a love-hate relationship with this name when reading the books but obviously the TV show clarified it for me and now I love it. Such a strong name, not to mention her other names. Jeez, is that enough now Khaleesi?!
Daenerys Stormborn
Breaker of Chains
Mother of Dragons
Khaleesi
First of Her Name
Queen of Meereen
Queen of the Andals
The UnBurnt

2) Luna Lovegood

Luna’s name describes her character so well. Luna is another name for the moon and to me, her character is definitely up in the stars and closer to the moon than the Earth. Also, Lovegood is true to her as well because she has such a kind heart and cares so much about others rather than herself!

1) Clod Iremonger

This character is probably a little less well-known from the Iremonger trilogy. You can read my reviews of the trilogy here, here and here. ALL of the characters in The Iremonger series have unusual names but Clod tops it all. He’s just a one syllable wonder who is simple just like his name. I’d definitely recommend this weird, wonderful and dark series!

WOO! That was this week’s Top 5 Wednesday, stay tuned for next week’s!
