TUESDAY TALKS: What do you think of the tall mass market paperbacks? Are they easier to read & handle?

So today i’m bringing you a…

This is set up by the wonderful Janie over at Bookworms Buddy, and Janelle at MrsJRodsReads. This really fun-to-do segment is basically, as the name implies, a talk each Tuesday about a book-related topic.

And this week’s topic is:

What do you think of the tall mass market paperbacks? Are they easier to read & handle?

I do worry about the tall mass market paperbacks. They cause a problem of unevenness on my bookshelf and dwarf the rest of my books. This is a problem for my severe bookshelf OCD.

I have to admit though, they are pretty cool, like really really really cool. I love how tall they are and unusual because they aren’t common.

BUT…
Very impractical. Hand luggage on an aeroplane? Not unless you want your arms to drop off. Long car journey? Again, your shoulder will die from heavy-bag-itis.

AND, that’s only if your bag is effing big enough for them!

Cool, fun, but highly impractical. Short, sweet and simple.

That’s it for this week’s Tuesday Talks! Unfortunately there won’t be a Tuesday Talks for another 2 weeks because i’m currently on a plane travelling to Mexico!

Let me know what you think about tall mass market paperbacks in the comments below.
